Take good photos for Father's Day!
It is nice that we can fix our images for digital scrapbooking projects in Photoshop, Photoshop Elements or some other graphics program but still, as good as these programs are at repairing our mistakes — this doesn’t replace starting with a great picture!
Taking a good picture is still the best option for editing in graphic software and gives the scrapbooker even more opportunities to create a wonderful scrapbooking page. So this Father’s Day try to taking a great photo is the first step towards great digital scrapbooking!
Using a couple of tips simple tips can help you take great photo with your digital camera this Father’s Day and at all the celebrations.
Here are three simple ideas that will help improve your photographs even before you put them on your computer!
Tip 1) Focus – with so many cameras doing the auto focusing these days, sometimes the cameras aren’t that smart and the focus still isn’t in the right place. Check carefully before clicking the button on your digital camera and make sure you are really focused on the right place before you comit to the shot. Doing this can improve the quality of your digital pictures.
Tip 2) Steadiness – to get a sharp clear image steadiness is the key. The photographer can hold the camera steady to increase the clarity of the picture. Moving too quickly - before the shutter fully closes cause a blurry picture. Many of the smaller digital cameras that are so great to slip into a pocket or purse have slower shutter speeds and need us to stand still a little longer to get a great shot. Also, using a tripod can help keep things steady. Especially if you find holding a camera and keeping the shakes out is completely impossible, or if you find you are moving to soon before the camera shutter closes. In both of these cases using a tripod can really steady the picture!
Tip 3) Lighting - watching the lighting can increase the quality of the photos. For example, taking a picture inside and against a lighted window might cause the people in the photo to appear dark to the point of not being able to see their features. Moving people to another place in the room without direct light behind them or using a flash could be one way to solve this problem.
These tips will help you to improve your digital photos, but even with our best efforts many digital photos still need help after we get them into our computers and into a graphic programs like Photoshop or Photoshop Elements then we can really make those needed improvements like taking out Red-Eye!
